Inspira Health Partners (IHP) is a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO). PHOs are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who come together voluntarily to provide coordinated high quality care. The goal of coordinated care is to ensure that patients, especially the chronically ill, get the right care at the right time, while avoiding unnecessary duplication of services and preventing medical errors. When a PHO succeeds in both delivering high-quality care and spending health care dollars more wisely, its members share in the savings it achieves through the insurance companies.

Inspira Health Partners was established to provide hospitals and health systems, such as the Inspira Health Network and its community of physicians, with a vehicle that provides for strong physician leadership. Through this leadership, providers can work together in a collaborative manner to achieve common goals which include, but are not limited to, promoting the provision of higher quality, more coordinated and efficient care for individuals, improved health for populations and lower per capita growth in expenditures. This is achieved while responding to and exploring opportunities created by the changing health care delivery and payment environment.
